This website describes Healthy food options on Rutgers Campus. The goals for this website are to put all of the healthy food options that Rutgers has to offer in one place. It will explain where students can go to find healthier options, because sometimes it is a struggle to eat healthy while at school. This website will also explain why some places and some foods are healthier to eat, and it will provide the nutritional value that the foods have. It will also explain that Rutgers provides healthy foods that are also convenient, and that they could possibly be more convenient than eating foods that are considered to be bad for you. Students are always trying to look for foods to eat on the go; for example, a salad is just as convenient to get to eat as getting a slice of pizza. The salad ultimately gives the student more nutrients and protein than a slice of pizza would. The intended audience is mainly for Rutgers students; however, it can also be for professors because they need to eat in between classes as well. Today, people try to eat healthier and pick healthier options, so I think this website will be useful, especially because Rutgers has so many students. People are always looking for places to eat, so this website will provide them with more insightful information on what type of food to get, and what is best to kept them full longer while providing them with healthy nutrients. I know that I try to eat healthier, and I put thought into the food that I eat. That’s why I think I am qualified to make this website. This website will do the research for the students, and contain information for restaurants on the College Ave and Livingston campuses.
To keep this blog relevant, I will continue to research new menu items as they come out at different restaurants. I will try to update it weekly with new nutrition facts.
I also want to make my website Creative Commons, so students can use the information in my blog posts for their school work. Because this information is so relevant and necessary, I think students will need legal access to it, so I want to make my website only have “some rights reserved” (Creative Commons). I want students and professors to be able to share my work with others, so, it can expand to as many people on campus as possible.
