Final Project – Individual Podcast

My podcast will take be in the format of an introduction, describing the website that I made in class, Healthy Eating at Rutgers, then I will move to discussing my public service announcement, then I will discuss the interviews that I conducted and the results of those interviews, and finally, I will end with a conclusion of my findings. The introduction will review my website that I created in class, highlighting the focus, target audience, and it will include the URL to my website. After introducing my website, I will introduce the contents of my podcast. I will talk about the three interviews that I conducted with students that go to Rutgers University. I will talk about one student that lives off campus and cooks from home, I will interview another student that solely relies on Rutgers dining for all of their food, and my third interview will be conducted with a student that cooks at home as well as has a meal plan at Rutgers, so they cook their own food and they eat Rutgers food. I will then talk about my feelings towards these interviews because I have also experienced Rutgers dining being that I am a student at Rutgers University with a partial meal plan and a kitchen at home.

Before my main segment begins, I will include a public service announcement promoting The Food Trust. The food Trust educates young people to eat healthy and it provides them with access to affordable healthy and nutritious food. The Food Trust advocates that everyone should know how to eat healthy and they should have access to it, so, they don’t resort to eating unhealthy foods which could result in obesity. With the education regarding healthy food from The Food Trust, they will understand the benefits of picking the accessible healthy food over the accessible unhealthy foods. I will also discuss how we can easily help The Food Trust, and we can makes students’ lives better by donating or volunteering our time. I will conclude my public service announcement by encouraging people to get involved in this nonprofit and by encouraging them to look out for their health as well.
